FRANKLIN, Tenn. — The ServNet Auction Group recently hosted its first Meet the Owners event of 2010, kicking off this year’s series of meetings with a gathering in Dallas earlier this month.

As some may know, the Meet the Owners meetings are designed to strengthen the relationships that the owners of ServNet’s 22 independent auctions have with remarketers.ServNet Auctions

Attending the Dallas meeting — which was hosted by ServNet president Jeff Brasher, the owner of Brasher’s Reno Auto Auction, and ServNet chief executive officer Pierre Pons — were representatives from the following remarketers: Chrysler Financial, GMAC, Mercedes Benz Credit, AmeriCredit, Hertz, Santander Consumer USA, American Honda Finance and Wells Fargo Dealer Services.

During the event, these remarketers engaged in discussion with auction owners and members of ServNet’s executive staff.

As part of welcoming attendees, Pons and Brasher emphasized the ServNet members’ strengths, which they cite as the following: long-term, multi-generational, independent ownership; established business practices; well-maintained facilities; and cutting edge technology.AuctionPipeline

“A strong Internet presence and online selling capabilities are essential in today’s marketplace,” Brasher noted. “ServNet auctions stand among the leaders in the industry with online tools that not only facilitate inventory searches, but offer simulcast auction selling through a variety of channels, including AuctionPipeline, which was created and developed by a team of ServNet auctions to deliver comprehensive online buying and selling capabilities.”

Brasher’s Auto Auctions Recognized for Service by National Accounts

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

As national accounts tabulate sales performance and results from 2009, Brasher’s Auto Auctions have once again distinguished themselves in both regional and national standings.

Brasher’s Portland received accolades as the leading auction for Donlen in the West Region for 2009.

As mentioned in a previous post, Brasher’s Northwest was recognized by Capital One Auto Finance for its performance in 2009 with Auction of the Year honors for the region. We’re also excited to announce that for a record 5th time, they’ve received similar honors from ARI for their efforts in 2009.

Also mentioned in a previous post, Ford Motor Company presented the prestigious Golden Gavel award to Brasher’s Sacramento for their superior performance in 2009.

“With six Golden Gavel Awards and eight Auction Achievement Awards to their credit, Brasher’s Sacramento Auto Auction has worked hard to produce results for Ford Motor Company,” said Linda Silverstein, General Manager Remarketing for Ford,. “We’re pleased to recognize the relationship that we’ve enjoyed with Brasher’s in Sacramento for nearly two decades, and to acknowledge the service that dealers have come to expect from a Ford Sponsored Auction.”

UPDATE: Since this post went live, Fiserv has also recognized the service offered by Brasher’s Sacramento with it’s top performance designation in 2009 for the Western region. Capital One Auto Finance presented its annual Auction of the Year awards in Dallas recently. Present to receive the award from Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction were Lisa Larkin (General Manager), Mark Melton (General Sales Manager) and Jodi Rowland (Fleet/Lease Manager).

Auction general manager Lisa Larkin notes that this year’s designation as Capital One’s Auction of the Year is a repeat performance for the Eugene, OR auction, which was named Capital One’s top auction in the Northwest Region in 2006 as well.

Ben Brasher, Jodi Rowland, Lisa Larkin, and Mark Melton show off the CapitalOne Auction of the Year Award in Eugene. Lisa, Mark, and Jodi traveled to Dallas to accept the award.

“To receive an award like this a second time is an extra thrill for all of us at Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction,” said Larkin. “We all work very hard to perform at a consistently high level for our customers, always on the look-out for new and improved ways to facilitate the auction process. Receiving an award like this for a second time is an indication that our efforts are not only noticed, but result in success for our customers on the auction block.”

In other news, Brasher’s Northwest rolled out the red carpet for its customers on Wednesday, January 27th, when it celebrated its 19th Anniversary in Eugene, Oregon.

“Our Anniversary sale was a great day at the auction,” said the auction’s general manager Lisa Larkin. “We planned this sale as our way to say ‘thank you’ to our amazing consignors and buyers who make our business successful, and we had a great time doing it. By the end of the day we had posted a nearly 70% sale, which showed that not only did our customers have a good time, but they had a tremendous day of buying and selling at Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction!”

The Brasher family acquired the Eugene facility in January of 1990. Originally a single-lane operation, it soon grew to four lanes, and in 2000 moved to an all-new facility to accommodate its growing consignment and dealer base. Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction offers a dealer consignment sale every Wednesday, averaging over 500 units per week and 68% sold. A nationally-known leader in the RV auction industry, Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction holds an RV sale on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.

Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction has been named Bank of America’s Specialty Auction of the Year for four years running: in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. It is a four-time winner of ARI’s Auction of the Year Award, and two-time winner of Capital One’s Auction of the Year Award for the Northwest Region.

Bob Roessel of Portland RV Wholesale, a frequent buyer at Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction, had the opportunity to visit The Heartland Ranch in Missouri this year to do some serious hunting. The trip, which was won by a friend during Brasher’s Northwest’s Anniversary Sale in June, was the trip of a lifetime for Bob, a serious sportsman. Heartland Wildlife RanchDuring the three day trip to the Ranch, Bob stayed in the Ranch’s 26 room guest lodge with first class amenities and amazing views.

On the second day, Bob got what he came for: An 800 lb. bull elk! The elk had a green score of 512.

The ranch cut and wrapped the meat, and Bob took home 80 lbs. of it to share with the family, donating the remaining 400 lb. to a local charity.
